We’re launching our monthly tips contest here at GirlfriendCelebrations! Each month we’ll be seeking the best party planning or female-bonding tip and awarding a fabulous prize. For January 2006, we’re taking inspiration from our girlfriend Kate, who asked us for non-traditional baby shower ideas. We admit we were stumped, so we’re turning this query over to you, our girlfriends!

Let’s face it: Even if you never plan to have a baby yourself, sooner or later, a woman you know will be pregnant–and what if she’s the type who abhors the usual pink-and-blue, gift-opening, ladies-who-lunch-style baby shower? There must be another way. We’re looking for your non-traditional baby shower ideas–anything from the entire party theme to unique locations, activities or party favors. We’ll select the best idea at the end of the month.
