Girlfriend Celebrations - Because Girlfriends Make Life Better

Girly Superbowl Alternatives

So, girlfriends, how many of you like football? Let’s have a show of hands. We know many of you will join in the Superbowl festivities this coming Sunday, and we hope you won’t be relegated to “kitchen duty.” But for those of you searching for a girly alternative on this manly day, here are a few ideas:

Have  a Soup Exchange Party – It’s the perfect time of year to share recipes and taste some warm, hearty soup. Find all the details on how to do it here.

Volunteer at a Soup Kitchen. Do some good and volunteer to help the homeless instead of watching the tube. Here’s a directory of homeless shelters and soup kitchens in the U.S. Call ahead to see if they need help.

Have Super-Bowling Sunday – Invite your gal pals to the bowling alley for a kitcschy fun time. All the details are here.

What are you doing Superbowl Sunday? Do you like to watch the big game or do you have another tradition? We would LOVE to hear your comments.

  2. This is a great idea! My girlfriends and I are going on a girls-only anti-football hike in the woods. I know another group of girls who are getting together for wine and makeovers.

  4. These are very good ideas! I was actually thinking of girly SuperBowl alternatives too.
I don’t watch too much football but I nevertheless do love celebrating the Super Bowl.
Usually I spend this day with the kids and my husband,
but this year, my girlfriends and I decided to have a
“Healthy” girls-only SuperBowl get together, where we will cook up
    guilt-free SuperBowl appetizers!
Ladies, I stumbled upon great guilt-free SuperBowl recipes at:
    http://www.celebrations.com/article/Super-Bowl-Party-For-Girls-Only
    and at http://www.sheknowsparties.com/superbowl-party-snack-southwest-caviar/

My girlfriends and I cant wait to switch up the SuperBowl party for a change!
